Not a diet app. Not a tracker. One good decision per meal.
You point the camera at your plate. Basta shows you how much of it to eat. You eat that much. You tap Basta — enough — and you're done. That's the whole thing.
Choose a calorie budget for this sitting. Snack, meal, or something in between. Your daily goal splits it out by default — adjust whenever you want.
Before you eatA photo, a description, or both. The more it sees, the sharper the read. Basta's AI identifies up to four items on the plate and estimates their calories and macros.
One AI callThree ways to spend the same budget — Balanced, Build Muscle, Stay Lean. Rings appear on the photo showing how much of each item. Tap a scenario, the rings update.
Your callBasta — Italian for enough. When you've eaten the plan, tap it. Tell the app how it went. One line appears. Then you're done.
The whole thingCurrently in private beta on iPhone and Android phones. Tablets aren't supported yet — the layout isn't ready for them.
This is a beta. Things will occasionally be imperfect. Here's what's already in place so the small things stay small.
Basta does not ask for your name, location, or any personally identifying information to get started. The only optional details — height, weight, activity level, goal — exist to make your plan more relevant. You decide if and when to add them.
When you analyse a meal, your plate photo is sent to the AI, the result comes back, and the image is discarded. No photo gallery. No stored images. The database keeps the analysis — food names, calories, macros — and your meal record. That is it.
This is a deliberate product decision, not an oversight.
Try it with a real meal. See how it feels. That's all we're asking.
